1. Our commitment
CAS makes its certification services accessible to all applicants whose activities fall within its scope of operation. Access to certification is not conditional upon the size of the applicant or membership of any association or group, nor is certification conditional upon the number of certificates already issued. We do not use financial or other conditions to discriminate against, or unduly impede, access.
2. Non-discriminatory policies & procedures§4.2.1–4.2.2
CAS’s policies and procedures, and their administration, are non-discriminatory. In particular:
- policies and procedures are administered in a non-discriminatory manner;
- procedures are not used to impede or inhibit access by applicants, other than as provided for in these conditions;
- certification is granted, maintained, renewed, extended or reduced, suspended or withdrawn solely on the basis of conformity with the requirements; and
- decisions are based on objective evidence, never on a client’s nationality, religion, gender, or other characteristic unrelated to conformity.
3. Fair access for individualsISO/IEC 17024 §4.4
For personnel-certification activities, CAS restricts its requirements, assessment and decision on certification to matters specifically related to the scope of certification. Access for candidates is not unfairly impeded; where a candidate has a disability or special need, CAS makes reasonable adjustments to its assessment arrangements, provided the integrity and the requirements of the certification are not compromised.
4. Accessibility of our services & information
CAS works to make its services and public information accessible:
