How it works

From application to certificate

One clear path, governed end-to-end by ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 — with impartiality safeguarded at every step.

1

Apply

Submit your scope online — organisation, sites, headcount and the standards you need. No fee to apply.

2

Proposal & agreement

CAS returns a costed scheme of work — audit days, timeline and terms — typically within two business days.

3

Stage 1 & 2 audit

Impartial, competent auditors assess your system under ISO/IEC 17021-1 and the scheme's technical part.

4

Independent decision

A decision-maker who took no part in the audit reviews the file before any certificate is issued.

5

Certificate & surveillance

Certificate, EOS letter and certification mark issued — listed on IAF CertSearch where accredited.

From application to certificate typically takes 3–6 months, depending on size and readiness. Each certificate is valid for three years, maintained by annual surveillance audits and renewed through recertification. Start your application →

Why CAS

Built on accreditation and impartiality

Accredited, not self-declared

Accredited by EGAC (CAB 012418), Egypt's national accreditation body — your assurance that CAS itself has been independently assessed as competent and impartial.

Recognised in 100+ countries

EGAC is a signatory to the IAF MLA, so an accredited CAS certificate is recognised as equivalent in every IAF MLA member economy — one audit, global acceptance.

Impartial & competent

Every audit runs to ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 and the scheme-specific technical part, with an independent decision-maker reviewing the file before any certificate is issued.

41 schemes, one body

Management systems, food safety, social compliance, Halal & Kosher, and product & inspection — covered directly or through our accredited partner network.

Regional reach

Offices in Egypt, Jordan and Italy, with active operations across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco.

Verifiable in seconds

Every certificate is verifiable online against the live CAS register, carries a printed QR code, and — where accredited — appears on IAF CertSearch.

Frequently asked

Questions about CAS certification

Is CAS an accredited certification body?+
Yes. CAS — Conformity Assessment Services — is accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) as a management-systems certification body under schedule 012418 B, registered with the Egyptian Organization for Standardization (EOS) as CB176, and listed on IAF CertSearch. Because EGAC is a signatory of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), CAS's accredited certificates are recognised in more than 100 countries worldwide.
How do I verify a CAS certificate?+
Enter the certificate number in the verifier at cas.com.eg/certsearch (or in the box on this page), or scan the QR code printed on every CAS certificate. The result is read live from the CAS register and shows the certificate holder, standard, scope, validity dates and current status. Accredited certificates also appear on IAF CertSearch, the global database of accredited certifications.
What standards does CAS certify?+
CAS offers 41 certification schemes in eight groups: EGAC + IAF-accredited ISO management systems (ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environment, ISO 45001 occupational health & safety, ISO 22000 food safety, ISO 50001 energy); EGAC-accredited ISO 22301 business continuity; fourteen further ISO management systems issued By CAS (including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 13485 and ISO 37001); food safety & agriculture (FSSC 22000, BRCGS, GLOBALG.A.P., HACCP); Halal & Kosher through exclusive partner bodies; GMP for cosmetics & pharma; social, ethical & gender schemes (SA8000, SMETA/SEDEX, WRAP, UNI/PdR 125); and market-access services such as US FDA registration.
How long does ISO certification take?+
Typically 3 to 6 months from application to certificate, depending on the organisation's size and the readiness of its management system. Certification follows a two-stage audit under ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015; the certificate is then valid for three years, maintained by annual surveillance audits and renewed by recertification. CAS returns a costed proposal — scope, audit days and timeline — typically within two business days of application.
What is the difference between an EGAC-accredited certificate and a “By CAS” certificate?+
For EGAC-accredited standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 22000, 50001 and 22301) the certificate CAS issues carries the EGAC mark — and, for the five IAF-MLA scopes, the IAF mark too — because CAS issues it under its EGAC accreditation. “By CAS” certificates are issued under CAS's own competence for schemes not yet within an accreditation arrangement and carry the CAS mark only. The certified organisation always displays the CAS certification mark in its own materials; the EGAC and IAF marks are CAS's accreditation marks and are never used by clients.
Where does CAS operate?+
CAS is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, with offices in Amman (Jordan) and Bucciano (Italy), and active operations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco. Because accredited CAS certificates are recognised under the IAF MLA, they are accepted in IAF member economies worldwide.
